The Director of Operations (Western) is responsible for developing, coordinating and implementing extensive operational support to all franchisees. Furthermore the position focuses on ensuring franchisee adherence to the M&M operating system and focuses on strengthened lines of communication between the stores and the Operations Team.
This position requires excellent communication skills, strong retail, operations or service industry experience and leadership ability that is second to none.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

To effectively complete the responsibilities of this position, the candidate must be able to complete the following:
1. Develop and lead the best Operations Team available to ensure that all Corporate Objectives are met or exceeded including franchisee satisfaction and M&M Meat Shops (Western) being an “Employer of Choice”
2. Work with the Field Consultants to plan, develop and execute marketing and alternate plans designed to assist the diversified needs of the western stores.
3. Provide communication, expertise, technical knowledge and training to Operations Team
4. Develops and evaluates administrative systems including budgetary controls within the Operations Team.
5. Travel up to 25 per cent of the time to ensure effective execution within the stores in the Western Region as well as to direct and mentor team members. Also to attend out of town meetings as required.
6. Analyze and evaluate the performance of store operations and recommend strategies for improvement
7. Assist in the development and implementation of training programs for franchisees, product consultants, field consultants and field trainers for the benefit of the Western Region and the whole company.
8. Experience in IT systems so that support can be offered to regional office staff with minor problems/issues would be preferred but is not essential.
